Type of Stored Data, Purpose and Legal Bases, Deletion Periods
Handling of Personal Data
Personal data refers to information that can be used to identify a natural person, i.e., information by which individuals are identifiable. This includes, in particular, names, email addresses, matriculation numbers or phone numbers.
Personal data are only collected, used and passed on by us if this is legally permitted or if the users have given their consent to data collection.
The use of students’ personal data for study purposes is primarily based on the applicable Hessian Higher Education Act in conjunction with the current enrollment regulations of the state of Hesse and refers to Article 6(1)(c) of the EU GDPR.
The data of employees of the Goethe University for the purpose of personnel management, teaching, research and examination activities are collected and processed on the basis of the Hessian Higher Education Act, the enrollment regulations of the state of Hesse, TV-GU, civil service and personnel law regulations.
Additional Personal Data
In addition to the above-mentioned data, further personal data are collected for the purpose of controlling the use rights, workshop organization and for the purposes of reporting and quality assurance. These serve to fulfill the proper tasks of the GRADE Centre for Gender.

- Status of academic qualification
- Title of the qualification project
- Academic field
- Phase of the qualification project
- Institutional affiliation
- Institutional status of the qualification project
- Supervisor of the qualification work
- Registration at GRADE
- Interest in offers (optional)
- Organizational preferences for GRADE gender offers (optional)
The data are stored as long as they are necessary for organizing our offerings (preparation, implementation and evaluation of workshops, events and services; creation of certificates/participation confirmations; reporting) or until the consent to data use is withdrawn.
Consent
By checking the box “Consent to Data Protection Declaration” during the registration process, you declare that you have read this statement and agree to the described usage of your data. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email to CGCentrum@soz.uni-frankfurt.de. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of your consent before its withdrawal remains unaffected.
If you do not consent to data use, you cannot register with the GRADE Centre for Gender; participation in offers that are only open to registered persons is not possible in this case.
