Networking Opportunities for Students at the CGC
As of now (March 2025), there is no self-organized institute group for students in the BA Gender Studies and the Master's-level certificate program. The study coordination is happy to support the creation of such a group. Below are other offers you can reach out to.
Student Representation in the CGC Directorate
The CGC is organized through a directorate that meets regularly once per semester. Students also have a voice there and can bring up their topics. Therefore, student representatives (one main representative and one deputy) are elected at the beginning of each winter semester. Anyone enrolled in the certificate program or the BA Gender Studies major can stand for election. Representatives are elected for one year.
The elections for the academic year 2024/2025 took place on November 14, 2025. Elected were Marie Föhr, Maria Ivanov, and Marya Skoddow.
Feminist Coffee Break
The coffee break serves as a counseling and networking opportunity for all students at the CGC, meaning: all students in the Master’s-level Gender Studies certificate program and the BA Gender Studies minor. During the coffee break, students can meet over coffee, support each other, and exchange study tips. Study advisors are also present to answer any questions that may arise.
The coffee break takes place every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm in the feminist salon (PEG 2G.215). The event is open to all genders.
Student Council FB 03
The student council of the Faculty 03 is also available for all student-related concerns and is open to collaboration. The student council holds regular open meetings. You can find more information on their website.
