Always and forever

Strategies and Perspectives on Care
Format:
Symposium
Language:
german
On-site event
18 June, 2026 - 10:00am to 19 June, 2026 - 5:00pm

Exhibition Hall Alte Schmelze, Gutleutstraße 294, Frankfurt am Main

Always and Forever – Strategies and Perspectives on Care is devoted to the highly political topic of care and advocates for equality, exchange, and community. The exhibition at Alte Schmelze on the Milchsack site presents artistic positions from various disciplines. In this context, the concept of care is understood beyond the themes of caregiving, motherhood, and the role of women.

The artists' association GEDOK FrankfurtRheinMain e.V. campaigns for the equality of female-identified artists and gives visibility to this sensitive topic. In cooperation with the Cornelia Goethe Center and the Archive for Women & Music, the world's largest archive for female composers, a two-day symposium takes place, where various dimensions of care as a societal challenge are discussed in panels and discussion rounds.
