GEDOK FrankfurtRheinMain is dedicated to supporting female artists working in the fields of visual arts, music, and literature. Through exhibitions, performances, concerts, readings, and lectures, we enrich the cultural landscape and create space for artistic exchange.

We see ourselves as a vibrant, interdisciplinary group of women artists whose diversity and content are reflected not only in words but also in the projects and activities of our members. Frankfurt is at the heart of our work—from here, our initiatives and ideas radiate throughout the entire Rhine-Main region.

GEDOK is the oldest and largest network for women artists in Europe, encompassing all art forms. Founded in 1926 by the patron Ida Dehmel (1870–1942) in Hamburg as the “Association of German and Austrian Women Artists of All Art Forms,” GEDOK continues to advocate for the advancement of women in the arts to this day.
