The Cornelia Goethe Center for Gender Studies is looking for a
student assistant
(60 hours/month)
The main focus of the position is to provide support in the area of studies and teaching, in particular assisting with the coordination of the Gender Studies certificate program. This includes, among other things,
- Support in planning the curriculum for the certificate program: communicating with instructors and cooperating departments in cooperation with the person supervising the minor in gender studies, creating the semester program for the certificate program in Adobe InDesign;
- Maintaining information about the certificate program on the Center's website;
- Maintaining the certificate program database, reviewing submitted documents, preparing certificates;
- Study support for the certificate program;
- Designing and implementing activities for gender studies students;
- Supporting student representation in university committees;
- Assisting in the expansion of interdisciplinary cooperation within the GU;
- Public relations work; in particular, participation in fairs for prospective students.
The tasks also include working on other key areas, particularly in the field of events.
The position also serves as an opportunity for personal training and development.
Requirements for employment include good computer skills (especially MS Office, ideally Adobe Creative Cloud), strong written and spoken German and English skills, and a particular interest in gender studies.
