The Faculty of Social Sciences at Goethe University Frankfurt has three open teaching assignments in Gender Studies for the winter semester 2025/2026 (pending the final allocation of funding). Two teaching assignments are for Bachelor seminars; one teaching assignment is for a Master seminar.
The proposed Bachelor seminars should be introductory in nature and cover modules 1 (Introduction to Gender Studies) or 2 (Inter-/ Transdisciplinarity, Scientific Criticism and Methods in Gender Studies) of the B.A. minor in Gender Studies. The module descriptions can be found here. The Master's seminar should have an interdisciplinary character and will also be part of the curriculum of the Gender Studies certificate program. We would be pleased to receive seminar proposals from Critical Disability Studies.
In principle, it is possible to apply for two teaching assignments. Prerequisite for the application is a Master's degree in social sciences. Teaching experience is desirable. Applicants cannot be employed by Goethe University.
The teaching assignment comprises 2 hour per week (SWS) and is remunerated at a rate of 45€/SWS. Block teaching is possible.
If you are interested, please send your application by 12 June 2025 to cgcentrum@soz.uni-frankfurt.de.
The application should include the following documents: Letter of motivation; CV with details of teaching experience (including teaching evaluations if applicable); seminar concept for the proposed seminar which contains the exact title and description for the course catalogue; completed info sheet on teaching assignments at FB03.
